Karrie Harris-Dawson serves as InnerCity Struggle’s Director of Finance. Karrie is starting her 31st year in the administrative and fiscal management field. With a family history of social justice involvement, Karrie has dedicated the majority of her work experience to supporting the movement in a structural way.
Karrie was one of the founding staff members of the Community Coalition. She provided 14 years of service to the development and implantation of a sound administrative and financial infrastructure. After a short time with the then Assemblymember Karen Bass, Karrie joined Strategic Concepts in Organizing and Policy Education where she spent 12 as the Director of Administration.
Karrie came to ICS in 2018 to contribute to the stability and growth of the Administrative and Finance Department. Karrie is currently managing the overall fiscal management for the organization.
