Josselyn Perez began her journey in Civic Engagement as a youth leader with InnerCity Struggle. She is a first-generation daughter of immigrants, who believes community and people power are fundamental for change. She graduated from UCLA in 2018 with a B.S. in Biology, Minor in Spanish. While at UCLA, Josselyn organized an annual Guelaguetza with Grupo Estudiantil Oaxacaqueño, where indigenous Oaxacan culture was uplifted. Josselyn joined as an organizer in 2020, where she co-leads electoral efforts, community engagement campaigns, and outreach for voter education on the Eastside.
