Join us at the LA County Vote on Permanent Rent Control

Everyone deserves a safe, healthy and affordable place to call home. But corporate landlords and real estate billionaires are raising rents and evicting families in unincorporated Los Angeles County at historic rates. Eastside families and youth are saying: Ya basta! Enough is enough.

Join InnerCity Struggle youth and parents on September 10, 2019, to urge the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to vote yes for permanent rent protections for families in unincorporated Los Angeles County.

Last year, InnerCity Struggle youth and parent leaders passed a temporary rent freeze ordinance at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. The motion capped rent increases at 3% and placed a hold on evictions without just-cause for all renters in unincorporated Los Angeles County.

This temporary ordinance provided much-needed relief to families. Unfortunately, those vital protections for families are set to expire on December 31, 2019.

If we don’t act now, thousands of families across unincorporated Los Angeles County, including the Eastside could be at risk of losing their homes through unjust evictions and outrageous rent increases.

Join us to protect Eastside families!
