Ruby Rivera is a proud Queer Latina born and raised in Lynwood, CA. She earned a B.A. in Chicanx Studies and Labor and Workplace Studies at UCLA in 2010. In 2017 she earned an MSW in Community, Organization, and Business Innovation from the University of Southern California. Where she interned at the Center for the Study of Social Policy in New York City. 

Ruby has served the community of Boyle Heights for over 10 years as a youth and community organizer and an advocate for positive youth development, environmental justice, and equitable community development. Ruby is currently the Director of Community Organizing at InnerCity Struggle, in this role she has the opportunity to engage in advocacy efforts on behalf of housing justice issues for community members in the Eastside. 

Ruby believes that through community organizing, community health, and policy advocacy our communities can thrive. Ruby is committed to utilizing her skillset to support her community and advocate for racial justice, housing justice, youth justice, and LGBTQ+ issues.
